Description
Cataldo Calabretta is the fourth generation of winemakers that has dedicated his life to the vineyard at Cirò. After studying Enology and Viticulture at the Faculty of Agriculture of Milan, he worked for a few Italian wineries and then, in 2008, he decided to refurbish the old family cellar and bottle his wine for the first time. For over 10 years the estate has been run according to the principles of organic farming, an ethical choice, which year after year is paying off: he has renewed the vineyards, and is continuing to cultivate the native grape variety Gaglioppo on hilly land located in the heart of the historic production zone of “DOC CIRÒ”
